This project sets out to bring together emerging talents in the fields of music and video making, to give tangible support to artists. Here's how it works: Diesel selects tracks from artists within it's online community, we curate the relationship, fund the project and allow the artists to tap into Diesel's creative and communications experience. The aim is to collectively realise a video that will deliver the band a professional quality music video, designed to be shared online and even to bring them exposure on TV. Currently we are hard at work producing and directing music videos for many of the Diesel:U:Music artists who uploaded their music to the community. More

The Vanities were selected from the Diesel:U:Music online community out of nearly 10,000 international unsigned and emerging artists. Chosen by the Diesel Creative Team for their heavy on the hooks, idiosyncratic glam rock, The Vanities draw their music from spiritual blues and soul roots to revolutionary rock and roll, all infected with a driving new wave disco sound.

Mujeres were selected out of the the Diesel:U:Music community for their raw and raucous Spanish thrash. The video - inspired by the famous Mission Impossible face tear-off scene in which Tom Cruise peels off his face to reveal Dougray Scott presents the world of a crazed surreal plastic surgeon-cum-barber in this all action, rip roaring, Mujeres debut pop promo for, "Reyerta" which romps through a high tempo, humorously lo-fi barber shop sequence in which the client gets a little bit more than the simple short back and sides hair cut he bargained for...

The video, produced by London production company, Blinkink, was shot in South London and in true Diesel:U:Music spirit, directed by first-time video director, Tom Kingsley (previously a runner at the production house).

Diesel:U:Music presents The Vanities.
We have created our first music promo ever for the UK's hottest Bolan/Hendrix/Bowie new-ager glam rock and roll reincarnation... The Vanities.

And the second Diesel:U:Music video goes to,Mujeres - Spanish thrash rockers . ...It all begins fairly normally as the unsuspecting barber shop client picks out his chosen hair style from a selection of photos on the wall, but instead of cutting his hair, the barber proceeds to tear his face... off. Check it.
