This Saturday night our circus tour will travel all the way to Hengelo, in the far Eastern side of the Netherlands, to have our little Rock ‘n Rave Circus show there. So people of Hengelo and all of the towns and cities around it: come see the Greatest Circus Show you’ve ever seen and ever will see! We would like it if the people of Germany that are reading this came to Hengelo too! This is your chance to come to Holland and see the circus show for yourself. The show is at the Metropool and will start at 10 pm, and will be your only chance in a long time to dance around in lion vomit. See you there!

We’re still covered in clown poo from last night’s party in Eindhoven, but nevermind that or our hangover because we’re packing up our clothes, beards and Joost as we speak. We’ll be leaving for Leiden in a minute! We’ll give our seventh show there tonight, and it’s gonna be something! The Greatest Rock ‘n Rave Circus will be in LVC from 23.00 hours and you’re more than welcome. Dress up nicely, to prove that the people of Leiden aren’t as attached to their boring striped blouses as the rest of the country thinks! We’ll see you tonight!

When we were brainstorming about the Rock and Rave circus a few months ago, there was one thing we immediately all agreed on. There’s not enough clowns in Eindhoven. The city has everything you could need: nice restaurants, great venues, excellent light bulb production facilities. But it could use some clowns. That’s why we’re warning you, people of Eindhoven. Because this Friday we will be releasing a tsunami of clowns in your city. In venue the Effenaar to be precise. The party will start at 23.00, so we’ll see you there! Beware and prepare!

Dear Belgium people. Hide your children far away, prepare your parents for the unknown, warn your neighbours  and call in your pets because the Greatest Rock ‘n Rave Circus is coming to town! Previous editions have proven to be completely outrageous and caused the public to bend their bodies in shapes they didn’t believe they were capable of. And we know that the Belgians are even more flexible, so we expect a complete chaos for tonight at K-nal, the venue that will stage the wildest circus in the world.

At the moment, all of the wild running artists and crazy performers are getting more than ready to move their asses across the border. The complete circus caravan has been anxiously waiting for this edition, so we sure hope you are ready for an explosion of extravaganza tonight!

Since the great party in Rotterdam last weekend we’re just getting ready to get back to our lives, and doing ordinary stuff like, you know, breathing properly. Or even leaving the house. (In our pajama pants, of course. Nothing too uncomfortable.) But then we realized that there’s another edition of the Greatest Rock ‘n Rave Circus coming up right this weekend, so we immediately started getting ready for that! The next party will be this Saturday in Patronaat in Haarlem. (Which is very close to Amsterdam by the way, so if you’re visiting our capital, be sure to step by in Haarlem and say hi to all the drunken clowns over there.) See you this Saturday!

We sure hope you’re ready for the Rock ‘n Rave Circus, Rotterdam, because it’s coming to Watt tonight and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it. NOTHING! This afternoon the circus will land in the city with the largest harbour in the world (at least it was the last time we checked, in ‘93), and we’re hoping no large, grey land animals in our circus team will escape our cages and take a relaxing stroll through the city center. Then we’ll set up the circus in Watt, prepare for the show and at 11 pm we’ll open the doors for the audience. We hope we can welcome you there. Want to know what to expect? In honor of Disco Dinosaur Joost van Bellen’s 25th DJ anniversary the Rock ‘n Rave Circus will be touring Holland and Belgium. Coming to you soon: a spectacular sideshow inspired by old-fashioned circuses from the era of Barnum & Bailey, late 80ies raves and rock opera’s such as Tommy and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The circus dynasty consists of Wannabe A Star, Melomanics, Aux Raus, Boemklatsch and of course the jubilating circus proprietor himself, the man with the moustache: Joost van Bellen.

This blog will report on all the great and small details of the Rock ‘n Rave Circus. Expect interviews with the members of the weirdest circus family in the world, secret looks behind the curtains, movies featuring zebra’s in the trapeze and pictures, pictures, loads of pictures.
